Welcome to the Queensbury Academy Conservation Project. Reviving the natural beauty and developing a fresh learning resource for our educational communities.
The Queensbury Conservation Project is a long-term initiative to:
1. Restoration of the West Building Conservation Area
- Pond Life: Protecting habitats for newts and other aquatic species.
- Support Wildlife: Enhance spaces for foxes, deer, and other animals.
- Natural Areas: Develop wildflowers and insect-friendly habitats.
2. Transform Old Grass Tennis Courts
- Create an Orchard and Wildflower Meadows.
- Develop Allotments for growing fresh produce.
- Add Native Hedging to support biodiversity.
- Build Seating Areas for quiet reflection.
- Construct a natural Amphitheatre for outdoor events.
