Uniform and Equipment
School uniform is worn to encourage the development of self-confidence and pride in the school and a high standard of personal appearance is expected of all students. The wearing of school uniform whilst travelling to and from school and during the school day is very important to us. We feel that it sets standards in terms of high expectations and a purposeful attitude towards work, whilst promoting the school and our ethos.
Please note - only those with ‘Best Look’ listed are to be purchased from Best Look in Dunstable. The rest can be purchased from any chain of stores but must be in line with the policy.

School Shoes Reminder
Students may wear:
- Plain black leather or leather-look shoes that can be polished
- Plain black ankle boots (must sit at or below the ankle)
- Plain black trainers, provided they meet all of the following:
- Entirely black (including sole, stitching, laces, and logo)
- No visible branding, logos, or coloured detailing
- No contrasting soles or markings
- Low-heeled, practical footwear suitable for a full school day
Unacceptable Footwear
The following are not permitted:
- Trainers with:
- Visible logos or branding
- Different coloured soles (e.g. white or cream)
- Coloured stitching or detailing
- Canvas shoes, including Converse-style footwear
- Boots above the ankle
- Any footwear with:
- Any colour other than black
- Turned-up rubber soles or toe caps (trainer-style)
Additional Guidance
- Footwear must be entirely black, including soles, stitching, and detailing
- Styles must be plain and non-fashion focused
- ‘Kickers’-style school shoes are permitted, provided they meet all criteria
- If there is any doubt, families should assume the item is not suitable and check with the school before purchase
If footwear draws attention, it is not suitable for school.
Summer Polo Shirts
Summer Term Polo Shirt
We are pleased to inform you that our summer polo shirts have returned. The polo shirt is an optional uniform item and, if purchased, will replace the shirt, tie and blazer only during the summer term. All other uniform expectations remain the same.
The cost of the polo shirts will range from £7.50 to £9.00, depending on size. (Available at Bestlook)
