E-Safety Guide
During your child's time here at Queensbury technology and the use of the Internet will play an integral part of their learning journey and progress. We take an active role in trying to ensure our pupils use this powerful resource purposefully, positively and responsibly, so that when they leave this academy, they have the right ICT skills/ knowledge to take into their chosen career.
All pupils are taught about being safe online and e-safety through our Computer Science curriculum, Life Skills curriculum and dedicated Tutor Time activities. We also join in with the nationwide initiative of 'Safer Internet Day'.
Other ways that we try to keep pupils safe is through our Pastoral Team of Heads of Year and Assistant Heads of Year who are always available to speak to should issues arise. All Safeguarding issues are passed onto our Designated Safeguarding Team, who we support students and families with issues. Pupils can also report any concerns to our safeguarding Team via this email address: safeguarding@queensbury.anthemtrust.uk or the safeguarding link on the student portal.
