Exam Information

This page contains all information related to exams, including timetables, exam protocols, letters, and revision guidance.

Keep in mind that there is a vast array of support available to you at school. If there's anything that could assist you in being successful, particularly during this period, don't hesitate to reach out and inform a staff member.

 

UPDATE - Exam Certificates Collection 2024

Certificates for the 2024 examinations can be collected on Wednesday 4th December 2024 from 3.30pm to 6.00pm. Please go to the Central reception where there will be a sign indicating where to collect them.

If students are unable to collect in person, a third party may collect them on their behalf. This may be a sibling attending this school, a family member or a friend.  They will need a letter giving them permission, signed by the student, and their photo ID in order to collect them, or email exams@queensbury.anthemtrust.uk if they have any queries.

Equipment List for Exams

It is the candidate's responsibility to provide all the equipment needed to complete the exam paper/s.

All equipment must be in a clear plastic pencil case or clear plastic bag.

Calculators must be provided by the candidate and conform with the JCQ regulations, please remove the cover before you enter the room.

Contingency and Results Days 2025

JCQ Contingency Dates 2025

The Joint Council of Qualifications (JCQ) who regulate exams across the country, have named the afternoon of Wednesday 11 June and all of Wednesday 25 June as contingency days for exams.

These days are in place in case there are any disruptions to the running of the summer exam season. If there are disruptions, then these are the allocated times that exams will be rescheduled to. Therefore, students need to be available to sit exams at these times even if they currently don’t have a timetabled exam for those days.

This checklist will help you to be as prepared as possible for your exams, so that on the day itself you can focus on doing your best.

Exam Certificates

Certificates for the 2024 examinations can be collected on Wednesday 4th December 2024 from 3.30pm to 6.00pm. Please go to the Central reception where there will be a sign indicating where to collect them.

Please collect these certificates as they are important documents which may be needed in the future and should be kept in a safe place. Uncollected certificates will be stored for one year (Dec 2025) after which time they will be disposed of as per JCQ regulations

Who to contact

For older/lost or damaged certificates - by clicking on this link, www.gov.uk/replacement-exam-certificate, you will find guidance on how to order a ‘certified statement of results’ from the relevant examination board.

You may need to prove your identity and pay a fee.

How much to replace an exam certificate?

The current fee for a certified statement of results is £43 per student per certificate and you will be invoiced for this.
