🌱 Over the summer term, our students worked hard to dig over and create new planting beds. We’ve already seen fantastic growth, with courgettes, tomatoes, onions, and even sunflowers thriving! The local wildlife seems to be big fans of our harvest, too!

🧬 Science in Action!
This week, some of our students have been exploring the fascinating topic of DNA, inheritance, and evolution. As part of their learning, they carried out an experiment to extract DNA from peas!! A brilliant, hands-on way to see that plants have DNA too! 🌱
@QueensburyAcad - September 8
In a scenario similar to An Inspector Calls, the tragic “murder” of Eva Smith has taken place at Queensbury Manor. Students are carefully examining evidence, analysing witness statements, and piecing together clues to work out who is responsible.
Lots of engagement, teamwork 👏

🎵 Today, our Y9 students were learning to play the ukulele! They explored how to read ukulele tablature, different strumming techniques, and even mastered their first three chords: C, Am, & F. It’s always great to see students trying something new and having fun while learning.

A particular highlight was visiting some of our textiles practical lessons, where students began the term by exploring marbling techniques on both paper and fabric. A wonderfully creative way to start their learning journey this term!
